Rating (1-5): 5
Cover rating: 5

Description: A hidden truth.

Mortal enemies.

Doomed love.

Marked as special at an early age, Jacinda knows her every move is watched. But she longs for freedom to make her own choices. When she breaks the most sacred teen among her kind, she nearly pays with her life. Until a beautiful stranger saves her. A stranger who was sent to hunt those like her. For Jacinda is a draki- a descendant of dragons whose greatest defense is her secret ability to shift into human form

Forced the flee into the mortal world with her family, Jacinda struggles to adapt to her new surrounding. The only bright light is Will. Gorgeous, elusive Will who stirs her inner draki to life. Although she is irresistibly drawn to him, Jacinda knowsWill's dark secret: He and his family are hunters. She should avoid him at all costs. But her inner draki is slowly slipping away- if it dies she will be left as a human forever. She'll do anything to prevent that. Even if it means getting closer to her most dangerous enemy.

Mythical powers and breathtaking romance ignite in this story of a girl who defies all expectations and whose love crosses an ancient divide.

I don't think I have sincerely loved a series this much since the first time I read Twilight. My favorite love stories are those of forbidden love, and that is exactly what Firelight is. Draki sound so beautiful and mesmerizing. And, the cover portrays Jacinda perfectly.

I love Will. He sounds so sexy and I definitely wouldn't mind finding him in the front of my house in the middle o the night. Sophie Jordan can seriously write a kissing scene! She makes Will sound irresistible. I recommend this book to EVERYONE! I can't even tell you how good this novel is. Jacinda is written perfectly. She's strong, defiant, real. I really like that she didn't just fall into the popular crowd once she arrived at the new school that so many characters do. She's actually very disliked.

Go out right now, buy, rent, borrow, whatever, you just have to get this book as soon as possible! But, I hope you have will power, because that is what it will take to wait for the second novel after the huge cliff-hanger of an ending.
